Every CadGaragePro file is sold on Etsy. This page answers what every product page would otherwise repeat: how the files reach you, what you may do with them, their units and formats, what our images show, and how to check that a file fits your vehicle before you buy.
How do I get the files?
Buy the file on Etsy. A download up to Etsy's 20 MB limit is an instant digital download from your Etsy purchases. Most scans are larger, so the shop sends a download link in Etsy messages after purchase, usually the same day; it is a straight browser download with no account needed. Each product page gives the download size.
What may I do with the files?
Scans, 3D models and CAD models: You may use the file for your own personal and commercial design and fabrication work, including parts you make and sell. Please do not share, resell or upload the file, or modified copies of it, in whole or in part.
Fabrication plans: Use the files for your own builds, including bumpers you build and sell. Please do not share, resell or upload the files.
What units and formats are the files in?
The files are at 1:1 scale. A mesh file's unit is read from the file itself: most are in millimeters, and a file in inches or centimeters says so on its page, with how to import it at 1:1. Sizes on the site are measured from the files, in millimeters with inches beside them. STL opens in every major CAD and mesh tool; which format your work needs is in our guide STL vs STEP vs OBJ.
What do the images on a product page show?
Product images are renders of the included files. A render that shows a part on one of our vehicle models names that model, which is sold separately. Fabrication plans also show drawing sheets and the parts list from their download. Each image says what it shows, and none is a photo of a finished build.
How do I check a file fits my vehicle?
Vehicles change between years, markets and trims. Send us one measurement from your vehicle and we check it against the scan for you, free: measure one point on your vehicle, for example the bumper width or the distance between the frame rails, and send it to us in Etsy messages or on our ask page. We measure the same point on the scan and tell you if it matches. We usually reply the same day.
Can you send me measurements from a scan?
Yes. Each product and vehicle page names the measurements its files hold, such as frame-rail width, bumper and tow mount spacing or the tub's inner size. We do not print every figure on the site: ask us for the ones you need and we take them from the file, usually the same day. Every one of them is in the file itself once you have it.
